Utilising the existing manually pinned open pedestrian swing gate we were able to increase the safeguarding of both the pupils and the staff by ensuring by automating the gate, further by installing Paxton Net2 access control and videx audio intercoms the school can now control access to the school.
Automatic vehicle gates
These automatic gates have been designed to not allow pedestrian access so Pedestrians have been diverted away from the automated vehicle entrance by directing pedestrians to a single automated single pedestrian gate entrance.
The vehicle gate has been installed with 2 x FAAC 400CBAC automatic gate operators controlled via a FAAC E145 control panel.
Entry through the vehicle gate to the site is controlled by a Paxton Net2 Access control system for staff and a Videx video intercom has been installed for visitors and deliveries to gain access that is monitored from the schools reception.
Exit from the school vehicle gates is obtained by the use of vehicle induction floor loops installed in the secure area.
An over-ride key switch has been installed to allow for the vehicle gates to be over-ridden.
A ‘Ritherdon’ enclosure complete with a 230v supply has been installed to allow the the control equipment of the system to be local to the gates.
