(M1407-15-M) Installation of FAAC Automatic Vehicle Gates c/w Paxton Net2 access control at Queens Park Primary School St. Helens.

The vehicle automatic gates have been designed for vehicle access only, Pedestrians have been diverted away from the automated vehicle entrance by directing all foot traffic to a single automated single pedestrian gate entrance.

Queens Park Primary School – FAAC Automatic Gate Project

Mere UK completed and commissioned the automatic vehicle entrance and manually controlled pedestrian entrance gate at Queens Park Primary School in St. Helens.

A ‘Ritherdon’ enclosure has been installed to allow the the control equipment of the system to be local to the gates.

A dedicated 240v supply has been installed.

Automatic vehicle gates

The design of the gate layout has been designed to allow vehicles to enter the school grounds enabling them to be off the main road to allow for either the paxton access control entry or the videx audio request.

The vehicle gate has been installed with 2 x FAAC 400CBAC automatic gate operators controlled via a FAAC 455D control panel.

Entry through the vehicle gate to the site is controlled by a Paxton Net2 Access control system for staff and a Videx video intercom has been installed for visitors and deliveries to gain access that is monitored from the schools reception.

Exit from the school vehicle gates is obtained by the use of vehicle induction floor loops installed in the secure area.

An over-ride key switch has been installed to allow for the vehicle gates to be over-ridden.

Manual Pedestrian Gate

The entrance has be designed so Pedestrians are now diverted away from the automated vehicle entrance and directing pedestrians to a manually operated Paxton Net2 access controlled and Videx intercom entry single pedestrian gate entrance.

The pedestrian gate has been installed manual gas gate operator.

Entry through the pedestrian gate to the site is controlled by a Paxton Net2 Access control system for staff and a Videx audio intercom has been installed for visitors and deliveries to gain access that is monitored from the schools reception.

Exit from the school pedestrian gate is obtained by the use of a weather proof exit dome button located on a high visibility pedestal.

An over-ride key switch has been installed to allow for the pedestrian gates to be over-ridden.
